About

On a night with no moon, she plants marigold seeds in Martian soil . . .
Our death comes.

Colonization. Industrial agriculture. Species loss on a cataclysmic scale. We are living in an age of human-caused mass extinction.

This miraculous planet gives us gifts, which we devour thoughtlessly. We scorch and salt the earth, and then demand she bear fruit for us to consume.

It cannot continue.

The following account is one witch's experience planting a pollinator garden using Martian regolith simulant.

Her goal:
to ascertain if marigolds and bees can thrive in rusty, blood-colored dirt.
To find out if life can be coaxed from a dead world.

Part chaos-magick and part science - this is planetary necromancy performed with Green intentions.

As is the way with experiments, with spellwork, and with growing things,
this garden led somewhere unexpected.
Within these stories, awakening can be found. Inside this cabinet of curiosities, the reader can discover the potential for great magick within themselves.

Will you choose to use your own wild brand of magick for conservation? Or will you board a ship, set sail amongst the stars, to rebuild on another world? Will you repeat the mistakes of those who came before, or will you forge another path?

Consider this an invitation. How will you answer?
